The final policy will be published here before launch. Until then, this page lists only facts about how BeMoon works today. It is not the policy.

What BeMoon handles

Your phone number, used to sign in, and an e-mail address if you choose to add one.
Your profile: name, birthday, photos and clips, answers, prompts, and the city and neighbourhood you picked.
Your location, kept on our servers on a grid of about a kilometre. Others see only a rounded distance, never closer than 2 km.
The messages and photos you send in chats.
Scrambled fingerprints of your contacts’ phone numbers, only if you block contacts. Never the numbers or names.
A short list of in-app events (views, finishing sign-up, likes, matches, messages, purchases), counted on our own servers. There is no third-party analytics kit inside BeMoon.

Messages and photos are gone when you delete your account.
Reports and their evidence are kept for 12 months after either person deletes their account.
Sign-in sessions are removed 30 days after they expire.
Purchase receipts are kept for 7 years.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. It is in Settings, under Delete account.
