No. It is built for the Iranian diaspora and open to anyone. The app is in English, and you can write in Persian, Finglish or English.

BeMoon launches first in Canada and is ready for the United States. Distances and heights follow your phone’s region, so miles and feet in the United States and kilometres and centimetres elsewhere, and you can change them.

Bemoon is Persian for “stay.”

With your phone number, Apple or Google. Your phone number is always part of your account, even when you sign in with Apple or Google. You need to be 18 or older.

Your first name, birthday, gender, height, who you want to see, what you are looking for, your city, where you were born, your education and your job title. Everything else is optional, and some answers can be hidden from your profile.

Add up to six photos and short clips. To send likes, you need four, with a photo of your face first.

Only people you have matched with. Once you match, either of you can write first.

When five people are waiting on your reply, BeMoon asks you to answer one of them first. Replying clears it. It keeps conversations from going quiet because a new like came along.

Daily picks: four people chosen for you each day; pick one to like. Spotlight: six people nearby whom others are enjoying. Closest to you: the six people nearest you. And Stories, taken in the app and gone after 24 hours.

Yes. BeMoon runs in your browser too. A few things, such as trimming a video, need the phone app.

No. Your exact location never leaves our servers. Others see a distance rounded to the kilometre, and never closer than 2 km.

From their profile or your conversation, open the options and choose Block, Unmatch or Report. You can report a profile, a story, a message or a whole conversation.

No. They won’t be told, and you disappear from each other everywhere in the app.

Not casually. An automated check flags possible abuse for review. A member of our staff can open a conversation only when a report names that person, with a written reason, and every access is logged.

In Settings, choose Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; your account cannot be restored. If you only need a break, Pause your profile instead.

Yes. Free includes Discover, Daily picks, Stories, browsing Closest to you, 15 likes a day and 2 priority likes a week.

Unlimited likes, more priority likes, seeing everyone who liked you, more filters, Undo, Travel, Incognito, replies to Stories and Rise, thirty minutes of extra visibility nearby. Max adds the most of each, and Pro and Max members are shown more often.
